Paris Regional Medical Center Transitions to Paris Regional Health
January 18, 2023
Paris Regional Medical Center (Paris Regional) today announced the official transition to their new name, Paris Regional Health. The organization previously announced the planned rebrand in October 2022.
The rebrand came with a larger enterprise-wide initiative of parent company Lifepoint Health. Paris Regional was chosen to be the flagship hospital for the project and, after many months of planning behind the scenes, is proud to officially move forward with the new brand and name.
“Our hospital and organization are no stranger to change,” CEO Steve Hyde said, “but change can be good. It is, after all, the very thing that moves us forward. The progress and growth we have experienced in the last 5-7 years has propelled us beyond the term ‘medical center.’ We are no longer one building – in fact we are nine buildings in three different towns with a 125+ medical staff and 900+ team members. We are a diverse healthcare organization; we are Paris Regional Health.”
Paris Regional leaders assure the community that the name and icon updates do not signify any operational or ownership changes. They expanded that the new brand better represents where the organization is at today and, furthermore, is an example of Lifepoint’s continued investment in the hospital. Paris Regional has been a part of the Lifepoint Health since 2018.
“Because of Lifepoint’s continued support of our hospital, we have been able to invest millions of dollars into our people and technology to improve care delivery for our patients,” Hyde said. "Some of our recent projects have included the emergency department renovation, our current cardiac catheterization lab upgrade, the full remodel of our labor and delivery unit and the addition of the da Vinci Xi surgical robot. The selection of our hospital as the flagship facility for this project is yet another way Lifepoint has demonstrated its commitment to Paris Regional and the communities we serve.”
The new name and icon, pictured below, stem from the same heart icon as the Lifepoint Health icon, which is rich in symbolism. The heart represents the hospital’s caring and inclusive culture and their mission of making communities healthier; it represents their 900+ team members who are the heart of the hospital; the larger dot at the center of the heart represents the hospital’s commitment to patient-centered care; and the icon’s vibrant spectrum of colors conveys movement, representing the organization’s focus on innovating and shaping the future of healthcare delivery.
The rebranding project is currently in it’s first phase, which focuses on exterior signage, and will continue throughout the year.
